Dear Erin, Lenny, Mary V, Clinton, Corley and Cody
We arrived! Thursday was a 6 hour journey littered with tyre wheels of other cars all over the motorway. We kept to the speed limit more out of safety than the possibility of meeting another speeding officer.
The Marriot was the perfect place to stay. It's connected to the largest mall which in turn is connected to the second largest mall in Salt Lake City. Kids went mad and made up within 5 hours for two weeks worth of non stop shopping. To the point where I bought them new school rucksacks only to fit all the new clothes.
Salt Lake City is tiny - whizzed around it, even with Paul which tells you how small it is. Fascinating place as it has at the heart of it the Mormon temple and then these high rise buildings with the settlers houses on the hill - a clear history all told in front of you.
To keep us awake on Thursday late afternoon we went for a swim at the Marriot. The pool was on the second floor with a glass roof which rolled back. It was lovely.
Friday was painless. Delta somehow checked our bags all the way through to London and everything went smoothly. In Chicago it was boiling hot and I can't believe it was just two weeks since we were last there, it seems like months.
We had such a great holiday with you all and we're now unpacking and seeing all the beautiful pictures you printed for us. It seems like a dream. We all can't thank you enough for arranging and making our stay so wonderful.
Keelan (Charlie) really misses Lenny - not just your computer stuff Lenny but you as well. He insists he's going back soon to visit you.
It's the Notting Hill carnival tomorrow so Paul has been to the supermarket as everything will be shut tomorrow and stacked up in preparation of World War 3!!
I hope you're all having a wonderful time.
Miss you all loads. Back to the grind ... roll on Christmas!!!
Lots of love
Sonita, Paul, Jack, Keelan and Oliver XXXXXX
